Construction begins on Jericho Project Veterans Residences 

Jericho Project has begun construction its veterans supportive housing residences, with opening dates for both projected for 2011. Jericho’s Veterans Residence I, located at 355 East 194th Street in the Bronx, will provide supportive housing to 56 veterans.  Veterans Residence II, located directly adjacent to the Bronx VA, at 2701 Kingsbridge Terrace, will provide an additional 76 units of supportive housing to veterans.  See photos and read more about Jericho's Veterans Initiative HERE.

  

Jericho House opens doors to Harlem Community

On June 11th Jericho House, our supportive housing residence in Central Harlem, held an open-house breakfast to showcase the recent renovations of their kitchens and bathrooms. Representatives TD Bank, Congressman Rangel, the United Way, the Manhattan District Attorney's office, Carver Bank, and the Manhattan Borough Presidents Office joined members of the local community Jericho Project staff for the breakfast.
  

 

 


Jericho Expands Veteran Supportive Apartment Program

In another new initiative just launched to help at risk veterans and their families get housing immediately. Jericho’s Veterans Supportive Apartment Program will now provide 40 supportive apartments to veterans and their families to affordable, furnished apartments.  Jericho will also help them land jobs and build skills through its successful Vocational and Education program, as well as relapse prevention, family counseling, and crisis management.

Jericho is proud to be a strategic partner of The Horatio Alger Association, whose Fall 2011 College Scholarship Application is open from August 1-October 30, 2010 to current high school seniors.
