Renee and her three sons, Joseph, 11; Isaiah, 10; and Joshua, 5, spent 19 months in a homeless shelter before coming to Jericho Project’s Family Supportive Apartment Program in June, 2010.

“I thought my family would never, ever get out of that shelter. Jericho not only helped me find my own apartment but helped me to furnish it as well.”

A proactive single mother, Renee immediately began to utilize all the support offered to her and her family through the Family Supportive Apartment Program. Jericho’s Family Social Worker has been on hand to help her ensue that benefits for her and her children are in place while the program’s Career Counselor has actively been helping her with resume writing and employment searches. With Jericho’s help she has found employment a senior citizen companion.

“When I learned about all of the support that Jericho could offer me I knew that any issues I might have they would help me.”

With employment now in place, Renee is preparing to graduate from the Family Supportive Apartment Program in October 2011.
