Jericho’s approach is rooted in the belief that most of our residents can “graduate” to independent living – and our results bear this out. Once a resident is ready to rejoin the larger community, Aftercare Counselors work with the individual and the Case Manager to prepare for life outside Jericho. 

All of Jericho’s housing is permanent, and there are no time limits for moving on. Jericho makes sure that the elements needed for success are in place: a stable income, affordable housing, neighborhood resources and supportive services. If the graduate is reuniting with children, further coordination and support may be necessary. Counselors provide extensive follow-up (home visits, regular phone contact, and group social outings) to ease the graduate’s transition.
