Jericho Project is currently accepting pre-applications for veterans for its Veterans Residence II supportive housing residence.

Veterans Residence II is located at 2701 Kingsbridge Terrace in the Bronx and is directly adjacent Bronx VA Medical Center and will open in early 2012. The Residence is approximately four blocks from the 4 train at Kingsbridge Road and is also convenient to a number of bus lines. Studio apartments will be available to qualified veterans. Female veterans are encouraged to apply.

Features of the Residence include:

• Fully furnished with bed, dresser, nightstand, table, and chairs
• LEED-certified for energy efficient design and air quality
• On-site Computer Lab, Wellness Center, and accessible green roof
• Free wireless access in every room
• On-site assistance with education and employment
• Community Room, garden, and outdoor basketball court
• Tenants pay 30% of income towards rent

Eligibility criteria include:

• U.S. military veterans must have a valid DD-214
• Must have a documented source of income not to exceed $27,750 (50% of Area Median Income)
• Residency is only available to the veteran – no other members of a household can be included
• Must be willing to live in a community of veterans
• If homeless, must qualify for supportive housing under NY-NY III program (Population “F” or Population “A”)
