Jericho at Work
- 85% (373 of 441) residents participated in Jericho’s Workforce Opportunities program during the reporting period.
- 91% (339 of 373)of participating residents met with their Career Counselors:
- 86 were enrolled in educational and accredited skills-training programs
- 152 residents were working at an average hourly salary of $9.97.
- Jericho made 65 new job placements — 39 full-time placements and 26 part-time placements.
- Jericho launched its Homeless Veterans Employment Program, which provides skills training and employment placement to veterans not residing at Jericho.
Pathway to Sobriety
- 87% of Jericho residents with a substance abuse disorder maintained their sobriety.
- Jericho resident’s 13% relapse rate is remarkable considering the typical relapse rate averages between 40%-60% according to the National Institute on Drug Abuse
Healthy Families First
- 48 families participated in Jericho’s Family Reunification program — 40 current residents and 8 graduates.
- 31 families were successfully housed in the Family Supportive Apartment Program
On With Life
- 28 residents graduated from Jericho
- 7 moved into their own apartments
- 21 reunited with their families
- Average length of stay for Jericho graduates was 2.5 years.
Veterans Initiative
Veteran Supportive Apartment Program
- 50 veterans are in apartments21 veterans had families, with a total of 34 children and 8 non-Heads of Households
- 14 in Brooklyn
- 27 in the Bronx
- 1 in Manhattan
- 6 in Queens
- 2 in Staten Island
- 29 were single adults
Fordham Village: A Jericho Project Veterans Community
- Began housing veterans in September, 2011
- Providing 56 studio apartments to homeless and at-risk veterans.
Kingsbridge Terrace: A Jericho Project Veterans Community
- Will open in Spring 2012
- 76 studio apartments to homeless and at-risk veterans.
